Hello,
I’m Emilie—a biologist, illustrator, and a mother, deeply passionate about nature, science, and art.
After nearly 15 years in academic and industrial research, life threw me a wake-up call—a mix of an early midlife crisis and the transformative experience of becoming a mother. It made me pause and reflect: Was my career truly fulfilling? Did I still love what I was doing? What was missing for a more joyful and meaningful life?
The answer became crystal clear: I needed change. I needed to bring more art and beauty into my life, to reconnect with the passion for drawing that had been with me since childhood. I also wanted to educate, inspire, and share this passion with others. And so, Emilie Etoundi, biologist and illustrator, was born—blending science and art to craft powerful visual stories.
But how do you start over? I took the leap. I left a high-paying job at an American company to work part-time in an association dedicated to fighting school dropout through STEM. I returned to art school, dedicated countless hours to honing my craft, and here I am!
Now, my mission is simple: to help you communicate your ideas through stunning, vibrant visuals that educate, inspire, and leave a lasting impact.
